About
QueerYA is a review of fiction of interest to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, queer, and questioning teenagers. This includes books written for teens, or marketed to teens, or written for another audience but featuring teenage characters.
Publishers or authors with available review copies of books fitting the above categories, please mail to my box:

Please note that I review only print copies of books published by selective presses. At this time I’m not reviewing self-published, vanity press, or electronic books.
Your reviewer is Daisy Porter, public librarian and author of a forthcoming middle-grade nonfiction book. I live in San José with my domestic partner, two dogs and two cats.
You can contact me at . I read older titles as well as new ones, but I generally review them in reverse chronological order - I’ll read the latest-published books first, so it behooves you to send me your ARCs as soon as you get them. Anything from before 2009 will take me a while to get to, if I ever do.
Most of the books I review are complimentary copies from authors or publishing houses, but sometimes I’ll review a library book or personal copy as well.
To book me to present on new queer YA fiction, the history of queer YA, or related topics, please email me. If you’re looking for the presentation I made at SCBWI on March 6, 2010, it’s here: Trends in Queer YA Fiction. Please note that this presentation is copyrighted 2010 by Daisy Porter.
